Many of the Telligent Community Server™ communities that first adopted CS did so because of an excellent product suite, great support and a reasonable license model. Many communities are still either non-profit or very low-profit advert-supported sites.
As the License model has escalated beyond the levels that these communities can afford, many communities are unsure of their status and future, while end-user support for a large community of users has effectively disappeared.

Many of us started using Telligent Community Server™ Version 1.0 in 1995 as a replacement for other Bulletin Board software that couldn’t cope with high-volume active communities. We saw great improvements in scope, reliability, functionality and support as a thriving community of evangelists pushed the product forward.
